A collage project and art vending experience

Visual Games is a collection of small, hands-on collage games available through an art vending machine at Sophia Street Gallery in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Each kit contains a unique assortment of hand-painted papers and a set of game rules that invite you to look closely at something in the world around you. Using the colors provided, you'll cut and arrange shapes to construct an image of your own.

Visual Games grew out of my painting practice. I prepare a library of painted papers that serves as my palette, selecting and combining colors as I construct images through collage. For this project, I've taken that same approach and placed the materials and decisions in someone else's hands.
